About Maltby and District Amateur Radio Society (G4SKM)
Although there has been a long history of Maltby and District Amateur Radio Society, the Society was reformed in August 2023 having closed a number of years before, in 2019 we understand.
We meet at the Centenary Hall, Bateman Road, Hellaby, Rotherham, South Yorkshire S66 8HA.
Our Society is a member-centred society and our members are at the centre of everything we do.
Our Aims are to:
- Share information about Radio Activities in and around South Yorkshire
- Increase awareness of Amateur Radio, as a hobby and support and encourage people to take part
- To offer support, help, advice and Information to all members of the Radio and Amateur Radio Community
We Offer Members:
- Two meetings a week
- Regular OnAir Nets using DMR
- Regular visits out to places of Interest to members.
- Regular Special Event Stations
- A programme of Interesting talks
- Field Days
- Training and Construction
- The chance to take part in contests like the FMAC and UKAC
