The Ukraine Radio Project

A Talk on the Ukraine Radio Project by Richard G4HGI

Picture of the Ukraine FlagHere is a quote from one of our members.
“So for those who were unable to make it tonight, we had a fantastic presentation on the Ukraine radio project.
It’s all about how it started and what it has grown into. With details of some of the amazing donations they have had and even repair and refurbishment of some of the equipment donated.
Also, something many people may not think about is the logistics of collecting all the donated items packing it all up and getting them over to Ukraine. Which is a monumental challenge in itself. Then to finish a brief chat about the things that they still need help with
This consists mostly any medical supplies and baby supplies.
I would like to say a big thanks to Richard G4HGI for the presentation and Paul M0PJA for arranging everything.”
In part of the Talk, we heard about Ukraine Relief based in Bournemouth who Richard and the team have been working with.
They have a large Donation Centre, based in the Castlepoint shopping centre.
Another quote from one of our members “On February 7, 2025, the Maltby and District Amateur Radio Society hosted an insightful presentation by Richard G4HGI on the Ukraine Radio Project. The talk covered the project’s inception, its growth, and the remarkable equipment donations received, including the challenges of repairing, refurbishing, and transporting these items to Ukraine. Richard also highlighted the ongoing need for medical and baby supplies. We would like to extend gratitude to Richard for his enlightening presentation and to Paul M0PJA for organizing the event. “
