Our first visit of 2025
Our First Visit of 2025 was to an Amateur Radio Rally.
On Sunday, January 26th we visited the Lincoln Shortwave Club Radio Rally Winter Radio Rally, at Market Rasen. This was held in the Festival Hall in Market Rasen.
While the number of Amateur Radio Rallies is dropping, this is always a good rally to attend. I would rate it 5/5, and that is just for the Bacon Butties! There is always a good mix of stalls selling equipment, old and new. These rallies are also good occasions to catch up with old friends and meet people you have spoken to on the Radio but never met.
When we arrived there was already quite a queue of people waiting to get in and one of our members was at the front of the queue. It being quite cold we decided to wait until the doors had opened and not queue in the cold.
On our way back from the Rally, we met up and stopped for some refreshments before heading home. We hope everyone had a great day. We have another visit out next month.
We were able to bag some bargains, there was quite a good selection of old equipment, which needed much-needed refurbishment.
